Dining in Color

Our first visitors are coming this weekend! Yay! My wonderful in-laws are coming for a visit and of course I need the house to be in tip top shape. Our dining room has most definitely been a neglected, sad little room, so I decided to work on it a tad this evening.

I'm not really willing to commit to any major decor theme since we will be knocking down the walls, installing hardwood floors, and scraping ceilings in the near future. So, in light of that I decided to see what I could come up with from around the house, including scrapbook pages on the table and buffet. It's not much, but it helped bring in pops of color - c'mon spring!

The artwork on the wall I'm most proud of. Using my scrap booking skills I finally put our big square frame to good use.

It's certainly not magazine cover worthy, but it was all free and gave me a creative outlet for a bit. Have you been able to change the look of a space using things you already had?

Steph,
It looks really cute. I love the bright punches of color. I'm sure Mike's parents will love it!

Love making wall art with stuff I already have. Scrapbook sheets are awesome for cheap wall art. Looks great!
